Teen Health
-
We enjoy working with teens and young adults. There is no better time to start setting the groundwork for a future healthy lifestyle, since their bodies respond very quickly
-
At the same time, teens face many challenging changes as they transition into adulthood. A lot of kids get depressed, or get side-tracked into a lifetime of bad habits. We recommend working with a therapist that specializes in adolescent development. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary adjustments, and meditation are all great ways to compliment this work.
-
We treat athletic injury and overuse, but also teach kids healthy ways of managing their bodies before and after their practices through exercises, stretching, conscientious use of their body, and creating a mind/body balance.
- Breathwork and Qi Gong exercises, as well as guided meditation practices, have proven very effective in treatment of depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.
-
We have observed many teens becoming over-medicated in the recent years - the non-pharmacological solutions we provide are a great alternative.

Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and Other
-
We see many patients with tough issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar. We see all three together so often in our practice, that we even have a term for it: the metabolic trifecta. These conditions are often a direct result of our stressful and busy lifestyles. Chinese Medicine is extremely effective at addressing them.
-
Our success treating metabolic syndromes has allowed patients to reduce or stop taking their medications. While treating something like a sprained ankle may require only 6-8 treatments, conditions such as Diabetes or other metabolic conditions require consistent ongoing treatment.
-
Weight loss is often an outcome of our treatments, but not our focus or our objective. Our focus is on helping you make modifications to your lifestyle to improve your overall well being.
-
We often see patients with a variety of auto-immune conditions, thyroid dysfunctions, and broad-based inflammation. The same approach is taken to treating these conditions. We take pride in our direct, open, and collaborative approach to patient treatment
-
We would partner with your GP or specialists such as your hemotologist or endocrinologist to work as part of your health-care team.
