Dr. CYNTHIA ARMSTRONG CHAPLIN L.Ac, DACM

Acupuncturist & Herbalist

Cynthia first started her journey toward becoming a healer with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on counseling from Berry College. As such, she has a special focus on balancing the mind-body connection. From college, driven by the desire to help, she went into social work. Her background gives her insight and empathy beyond the average practitioner, and the ability to meet every patient where they are. Her extensive training in crisis intervention and management allow her to help patients through a myriad of challenges.

Cynthia came to Chinese medicine through her own health concerns and the fascination was immediate. The very first needle opened up both her sinuses and her eyes to the power of acupuncture. Soon after, she began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego, California and went on to graduate with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. She is licensed by the State of California and currently working toward national licensure.

With extensive experience helping others navigate the trials of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases as well as psychological disorders, Cynthia has honed her skill in dietary and lifestyle modification right alongside the power of acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Cynthia’s appreciation for herbal medicine stems directly from her love of nature itself. An avid gardener, hiker, and lover of wildlife, she spends most of her free time either with her hands in the dirt or wandering in the woods.
